Whew! Halloween was a crazy busy day. How do people do everything with more than one child! It's a good thing Allie and Ava's parties were at different times.
Allie's pre-school party started at noon. We all had lunch together, then helped get our kids in their costumes. The students then paraded around the church and trick-or-treated! Allie got a lot of candy and Hannah was even able to participate in everything, which she was super excited about!
Hannah was a candy corn princess. I found this costume at Costco and just couldn't resist!
Here are the girls eating lunch before the trick-or-treating.
We were given this gorgeous and very heavy Cinderella dress from our friend Holly!
After the parade, the kids played a bunch of games!
Allie's best friend Maya happened to be Cinderella also!
After Allie's party, we drove right over to Ava's school to held her get ready for her parade. The school usually parades around the neighborhood, but because of the weather, they held the parade indoors.
Ava was Izzy from a Disney cartoon last year. She ended up with strep throat and missed out on school and trick-or-treating so she decided, since no one had seen her costume, she could be Izzy again!
Here's Ava walking in the parade. Izzy is a pirate who carries pixie dust in her necklace.
This is about the point where Allie and Hannah were partied out. Thankfully, my wonderful parents took them back to their house so I could stay and help out with Ava's class party.
It's so fun to see all the different and unique costumes!
Right after school we rushed home so I could make some homemade mac and cheese to take to Chris and Miranda's house. Braden's birthday happens to be on Halloween so we decided to head there this year. Chris and Mike even set up a trailer with hay (with the help of their dad!) so the kids could have a hay ride while they trick-or-treated!
Ava the pirate and Alyssa the nerd!
All the cousins (minus the twins who helped pass out candy) and Braden's neighbor.
I never realized how far back Chris' neighborhood goes! We hit up every house on the main street and then enjoyed the long hay ride back. The kids did great. Hannah mostly stayed on Mike's shoulders! And I think we have enough candy to last us the whole year, that is if I can keep Mike away from it! Happy Halloween!!
