January is a busy month for birthdays. We celebrated Allie's tenth birthday by going out to a church in Brighton with a free indoor play place! The girls had a lot of fun. Allie got to pick where we ate dinner and she chose Tropical Smoothie. It was a great day!
Ava happened to go to a Crossroads all-nighter the night before her birthday. So at midnight, the whole group brought out a cake and sang to her. She said it was a super fun night! When she got back the next morning, on her birthday, she was really exhausted but opened all her presents, and saw her new fish (Gilly weed), and then went to bed. I assumed she was just tired from staying up all night but when I went in to check on her around noon, she was burning up. Turns out she had the flu, the real flu, influenza A. Such a bummer. It ended up hitting me and then Allie as well. It was a very nasty flu season, as the vaccine was wrong. So we celebrated Ava while she was sleeping!
Hannah turned 8 on the 26th. This sweet expressive girl had a fun day at school, then came home and opened her presents. I happened to be sick with the flu on Hannah's birthday, unfortunately, so they all went to dinner without me. And sadly, I never got a picture of her in front of her birthday mirror, but we did decorate the mirror. Stupid flu season!
It's awesome to have three beautiful girls who are now 8, 10, and 12! They are so much fun!
