Toronto

I'm not sure how this trip all got planned. I do know that a text went out to a few ladies about a possible girls weekend somewhere. So a few ladies said yes, then more were asked, and they said yes, and then more were asked and they said yes! So when all was said and done, we had 8 ladies coming along on this trip to Toronto! And let me tell you, it was a great weekend away to reconnect with some old friends.

All the women who went were connected through Impact, the high school group at our church. We were all in it together at one time or another. We decided on Toronto and some flew in, while some, like me, drove in. We rented a condo right down town and had a fabulous time!

Margaret, Katie, Katie, Jess and I drove in Friday afternoon. We then picked up Katie, Jill and Erin from the airport. The van ride out was a lot of fun and it was great to catch up with these lovely ladies!

This was our condo for the weekend. It had three bedrooms and three bathrooms! 

That evening, we had dinner at a Mexican restaurant downstairs and then walked a couple blocks to a store and bought some food and wine.

The next morning, we took a walk around the city. It was a beautiful sunny day, a little cool, but great weather for walking. That building on the right, behind us, is the building we stayed in.

During our walk, we stopped for lunch at another delicious restaurant. Seriously, the food was great all weekend! 

That night we had dinner, and then hung out at the condo playing games and chatting. 

Sunday morning, we woke up and headed to Casa Loma. It's a beautiful castle just outside the city that we were able to walk through!

That night we ate sushi together and hung out in the condo! The next morning, four of the girls flew out of the Toronto airport, while the rest of us drove back to Detroit! It was a great weekend with some awesome ladies. We hope to make it a yearly trip!
