Allie's 5th birthday

Five years ago today I was in a hospital room, holding my sweet Allie for the first time. I remember that day well. She came out so fast Mike almost missed it! The doctor was urging me not to push while he was on his cell phone calling Mike, telling him if he didn't get back in the room, he was gonna miss the birth of his daughter. Thankfully, Mike made it into the room and one or two pushes later, Allie Katherine was here! She has been such an amazing addition to our family. She brings so much love, laughter, joy, and silliness to our family. There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't make me laugh. She has such a sweet spirit and loves taking care of her sisters. We are blessed to get to raise this little angel!

 

We had a great day celebrating Allie today. She slept in till about 10 this morning. She is my little sleeper! We woke up and had breakfast. I asked her what she wanted to do and she said "get my ears pierced!" So that was our goal for the day.

 

 

After breakfast, we got dressed and headed to 12 Oaks. Allie was so brave! She only cried for about a second!

 

 

Ava wrote her sister this sweet little note for her birthday!

 

 

We give our kids the option of what we have for dinner on their birthdays. Allie picked Village Grille, which is a very good little restaurant near our house. My parents joined us for dinner. Here Ava is showing Papa Allie's new pierced ears.

 

 

After dinner we came back to our house, had some cupcakes, sang "happy birthday" and played a big family game of Uno! Allie even won!!

Daddy brought roses and skittles home for Allie and she was so thankful!
