Fall

We took Ava and Allie and their cousins Anika and Nevada to Long's Cider mill to get some cider and donuts. The girls had a lot of fun playing around the farm. There were lots of goats and some ducks that the girls had fun chasing. I love Fall, especially since the cider mills are open. I just wish this fall was a little warmer!

The girls with Grandma!

So long Dale family:-(

We had a going away party for the Dales a few weeks ago. They moved to Portland for Steve's job. We had 14 kids total at our house, 13 of those all under the age of 5, and only 4 of the 13 were girls!! It was a little chaotic at times. The kids had a ton of fun and the adults enjoyed themselves too, at least I think they did. Sometimes it was so loud you couldn't here the person standing next to you! We'll miss you Dale family!

Welcome Curtis!

Our good friends Todd and Laura had their beautiful baby boy on labor day! We were able to go over and visit him. He's so tiny and cute. It's hard to believe they are ever that little! Congrats!

Hanger party

This is what the girls were doing while I was in the shower. Ava said they were having a party! Whatever keeps them occupied right!

Yay for Movie Monday!

When Ava turned 3 we started having movie monday. She would get to pick out a movie and we'd all sit down together and watch it. Okay, Allie would play in the living room while we watched it! This was the first time that Allie sat on my lap and watched it with us! I love snuggling with both girls!

Ava and Allie

We had some cold days at the beach so the girls had to come up with things to do indoors!

Vacation!

We head out east to Massachusettes every summer. Mike's family has been going since his mom was a baby since they have lots of extended family out there. We usually go in July. This year we decided to go in September for two reasons. The main one being that his Cousin Alexandra had her baby in August and we would get to meet her! The second reason was because it's the off season and everything is half price. Our cottage last year was $1700 for the week, this year it was only $400 (a different cottage but still:-). We had two great beach days on Monday and Tuesday and the girls (and us too) love hanging out on the beach all day. The rest of the week was too cold to stay down at the beach. It was a very uneventful and relaxing vacation. Next year, we're definitely flying though!

The Seacoast Science Center Touch pool! The
girls love touching all the little sea creatures.

Ava with two star fish.

Allie liked the star fish too!

Checking out a lion fish.

Mike and Allie at Michael's Harborside, a really
great seafood restaurant.

It was right on the harbor and Ava liked going
outside to feed the seagulls and ducks our bread!

Our dinner, not yet cooked, crawling around the table.

The girls thought they were creepy, but cool.

Fully steamed and delicious!

Our best beach day. It was in the 80's. Ava met a friend
too. Her name was Kaliegh and she was 5. They had
a lot of fun together.

Allie thought the water was too cold at first!

"yeah I think I'll go play in the sand."

Much warmer and happier!

The water was not too cold for my little fish.

It's a girl!

On the Thursday before we left for vacation, I had my 19 week ultra sound. The tech was able to find out the sex of the baby. I brought a pink and blue ribbon with me to the appointment and she put the appropriate ribbon in a gift bag I brought with me. Later that night we had a few friends over and let Ava pull out the ribbon so we could all find out at once! It was pretty fun. I asked Ava what she thought about it all and she said that she wished it had been blue because she already has a sister. But she is still excited. And when I asked her what we should name her new baby sister, she said "Gracias!"

Ava loves her grandma!

Since we've moved into our new house, there isn't a day that goes by that Ava doesn't ask to go down to grandma and papa's house! The girls love being so close to them! And I think grandma and papa like it too. Here are some fun pictures of Ava and grandma!

Sisterly love

Allie at 18 months

Allie is growing so fast. She's starting to talk a lot more. She certainly has her own little language that we don't understand but she repeats words like a pro! Lately she's been sleeping till 9 or 9:30 every morning. Oh how I pray that lasts! I know it won't though. She loves following Ava around, giving high fives, swinging in her swing, swimming, and all animals. We were recently able to watch Jeff and Tara's kitten while they went on vacation and Allie adored him! She is such a blessing and it is so fun to watch her grow!

I'm slightly behind. I'm actually at 12 weeks right now, but here's the 9 week ultra sound pictures. Everything is looking great so far!

Fun on the new swing

Our new digs

We officially moved in to our new house on Saturday June 20th. It's been a crazy month getting all packed up and out of our old house and unpacked and settled in our new house. I'm tired:-) It doesn't help being in my first trimester either (and I'm pretty sure Mike's getting sick of the pregnancy card). But we love our new house and are pretty sure the girls do too!

Taken from our front porch. We loving having views of the lake from our living room, kitchen and office!

Backyard. To the right of that shed in the back is our (left of it is neighbors).
That's the Huron River.

Office (a little messy). Notice the view!

Ava's very purple room! It's her favorite color and she picked it out!

Allie's messy room.
We're loving it so far! Sad not to be neighbors with the Rosses any more, but loving being so close to grandma and papa!

Happy Christmas 2021

Christmas...it really is the most wonderful time of the year. I know that's so cheesy but as I posted all of these pictures, the though...
