Our new digs
We officially moved in to our new house on Saturday June 20th. It's been a crazy month getting all packed up and out of our old house and unpacked and settled in our new house. I'm tired:-) It doesn't help being in my first trimester either (and I'm pretty sure Mike's getting sick of the pregnancy card). But we love our new house and are pretty sure the girls do too!

Taken from our front porch. We loving having views of the lake from our living room, kitchen and office!

Backyard. To the right of that shed in the back is our (left of it is neighbors).
That's the Huron River.

Office (a little messy). Notice the view!

CT Ohio
I was very fortunate to go with a group of about 50 high school students down to Kenyon College in Ohio for a youth conference and manual labor service trip. It was an amazing 5 days. I felt completely refreshed and rejuvinated as a mom, being away from my girls for that long, but also just completely in awe at how wonderful our students really are.

This was just one of the beautiful buildings on campus at Kenyon College. The whole campus looked liked this!

Here are some of the students and leaders getting ready for one of the sessions to start. Each morning and evening we would sing along with a sweet praise band and then would listen to a message for about an hour. The speaker did an excellent job.

The first manual labor job we had was at a church in Columbus. We basically just did any work they needed around the church including cleaning bathrooms, vaccuuming, mowing the lawn, weeding the flower beds, caulking, and other miscelaneous work. The students had great attitudes the whole time and had a lot of fun.

This was our second trip out to Columbus, this time working with an inner-city group called Lower Lights. They do a lot of work with low income families.

Our third trip out was to another church/school just outside of Columbus where we just helped out with whatever they needed. This group painted this whole hallway.

It's amazing how great it can feel when you're doing things for others. God has wired that in us I believe but many times we let that go stagnant for a while. It's good to be reminded that there are so many less fortunate people in the world and how easy it is to lend a hand.

Slight delay in posts!
If you hadn't noticed, I haven't posted in a while. It has been a crazy summer already! We just recently moved into our new house and are still unpacking. I also just got home from a week trip with the Impact students from church to Ohio, which was amazing. I'll post about both of these big things in the next couple weeks as we get settled in. And I'll be sure to post "after" pictures of our house! It's looking great but still pretty messy!

On this day six years ago, I became Mrs. Michael Epley! A lot has happened in the past six years, including graduating college, house remodeling and construction, moving, adding two beautiful girls to our family, and so much more! I have loved being Mrs. Epley and look forward to many more years with my wonderful family!

Today is Anika and Everet's 5th birthday. We have had a fun day with them. They all got their hair done, including Everet who wanted it ...
